Shah Mehmood Qureshi Owns Over Rs283 Million

Islamabad(June 24, 2018): The nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi claim ownership of more that Rs283 million.

Qureshi, who is vying to contest the July 25 general election from Multan’s NA -156 constituency, owns two houses in Multan, one in Lahore and an apartment in Islamabad.

The PTI leader also owns two plots in Bahawalpur and has £88,000 in a bank account in London.

Qureshi’s wife is shown to be the owner of two plots in Bahalwapur worth Rs5.2 million and one six-and-a-half marla plot in Multan — both gifts from the PTI leader.

Moreover, Mrs Qureshi also holds £26,512 in her foreign account.

Qureshi remained the foreign minister in the Pakistan Peoples Party government from 2008 to 2011 after which he left the party and later joined PTI.

Qureshi is the custodian of the Hazrat Ghous Bahauddin Zakariya’s shrine in Multan as he is a Sajjada Nashin — direct descendant of the Sufi saint.

Assets Details of Sirajul Haq:

 

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday released details of assets owned by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq.

According to documents submitted to the ECP, Haq owns assets amounting to Rs2.9 million.

Haq, who will be contesting election from National Assembly constituency NA-7 Dir II, also owns 4.5 tolas of gold along with 12 kanal jointly-owned land.

He also has part ownership of a private school

The statement of assets also shows the JI chief has no investments abroad, personal car or any immovable assets abroad. He has, however, given a loan of Rs 1.05 million to a Peshawar-based cloth merchant. Haq has listed a wife and a son as dependents in the documents submitted to the ECP.

Assets Details of Maryam Nawaz:

PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz has stated in the documents accompanying her election nomination papers that she owns more than 1,500 kanals of land and has millions of rupees worth of shares in multiple companies.

According to the affidavit submitted to the returning officer — copies of which are available with Abbtakk News — Maryam on June 30, 2017, had net assets totalling Rs845,953,559, which had increased by Rs44,154,464 in the previous financial year alone.

Maryam has also declared that her agricultural land holdings have increased in each of the last three years and currently stand at 1,506 kanals, on which she earned an income of Rs11,587,268 and paid Rs1,703,590 as an agricultural tax.

Moreover, the annexes accompanying her papers show that she had millions of rupees invested in multiple companies at the start of the ongoing financial year, totalling Rs18,931,000.

The document further shows that Maryam paid Rs1,491,000 in taxes during the financial year ending on June 30, 2016. However, her payment to the taxman for the next year dropped down to Rs41,961.

Assets Details of Asif Ali Zardari:

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari owns assets worth Rs758,669,073, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

ECP shared the information pertaining to electoral candidates’ assets on Wednesday. According to the electoral body, Zardari is not a defaulter of any state institution or department.

The former president has declared income from agriculture and business as his primary means of earning in the documents submitted to ECP. He owns 349 acres of agricultural land, with 7,399 acres of farmland obtained on lease.

Last year, the politician earned Rs 134,016,650 from his agricultural business. His earnings from other business in 2017 summed up to Rs 97,51,400. He paid Rs 26,32,490 in taxes last year.

According to documents submitted by Zardari, in 2016, his agricultural income amounted to Rs114,085,000, whereas his income from other businesses summed up to Rs82,45,900. He paid Rs21,05,565 in taxes in the same year.

In 2015, the PPP co-chairman earned Rs105,560,000 from agriculture and Rs76,66,000 from other businesses. He paid Rs19,05,600 in taxes in the same year.

The former president has submitted an affidavit, declaring he is not a dual national.

Zardari is contesting General Election 2018 from NA-213 Nawabshah.

Assets Details of Imran Khan: PTI Chairman Imran Khan Owns Assets Worth Over Rs 3.8m Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan owns assets worth more than Rs3.8 million.

According to the details,  the PTI chief earned Rs4,776,611 last year, as per the record submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The documents reveal details of Imran’s earnings from agriculture, salary and bank profits.

The cricketer-turned-politician paid Rs303,763 in taxes last year.

Imran is also the owner of 168 acres of agricultural land, according to the documents issued by the ECP.

The PTI chief has also submitted details of his foreign trips along with his nomination papers to the ECP. This year, Imran only travelled to the United Kingdom. The three-day trip costs Rs240,000, according to the documents.

According to the documents, Imran does not own any businesses in Pakistan or abroad. However, the PTI chairman owns 14 properties across Pakistan and none abroad.

Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and his two sons with Jemima Khan — Qasim and Sulaiman — have been listed as his dependents.

Assets Details of  Bilawal Bhutto Zardari:

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilal Bhutto-Zardari’s assets have been valued at over Rs1.5 billion, more than what his father Asif Ali Zardari owns.

According to asset details shared with the Election Commission of Pakistan, most of Bilawal’s assets have been declared as gifts.

Bilawal’s assets worth Rs1.54 billion include properties in Pakistan and abroad. Among them is acres of land in Sanghar, Larkana, Tando Allah Yar and five other cities of the country.

Bilawal has an agriculture land worth Rs0.68 million as a gift from his paternal grandfather. Another property that he received as a gift is a bunglow on 1,200 square yards in G-6, Islamabad.

The PPP chairman also has a 181-acre land in Ratto Dero, worth Rs2.1 million, as per the documents.

Besides, Bilawal also has business in Dubai and United Kingdom.

Assets Details of Aleem Khan:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan owns assets worth over Rs 918 million, the details surfaced from the nomination papers for the upcoming general elections 2018.

As per details, he owns a personal property worth Rs 519 million and shares amount to Rs 129.3 million. The domestic business of Aleem Khan is only Rs 90,000 while foreign business is over Rs 8.1 million.

Aleem Khan owns 43 registered domestic and three foreign companies.

On the other hand, he is also under debt of Rs 1.2 billion. He has even taken a loan of Rs 700 million from his own companies.

The PTI leader also possesses expensive vehicles [three Land Carousers and one Honda Civic] worth Rs 3.47 million, and jewellery worth Rs 1 million.

He has Rs 1 million in cash while over Rs 64 million in various banks.

Assets Details of Khawaja Saad Rafique:

Details of assets mentioned in the nomination papers by former Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique have come to the fore.

According to the nomination papers submitted to the Returning Officer by Khawaja Saad Rafique assets are to the tune of Rs 178.04 millions whereas the value of two inherited  houses in Lohari has been shown as Rs 1,25000.

According to documents Khawaja Saad has taken a loan of Rs 29.5 million from his cousin whereas he has valued his DHA phase II house as Rs 48.2 million.

Khawaja Saad mentioned 16 kanal land valued at Rs 34.06 million in Mozia Phularwan.Saadeen Associates Marketing and Consultancy valued at Rs 29.8 million in addition to this Rs 14 million in cash and prize bonds.He mentioned furniture of Rs 2.5 million and in one bank account Rs 11.5 million.

According to Khawaja Saad affidavit he has two spouses, two daughters and one son.According to documents he has paid income tax Rs 2.9 million in 2015 on Rs 22.06 million income whereas in 2016 paid tax Rs 3.9 million on Rs 29.09 million income.

In 2017 paid income tax Rs 5.02 million on Rs 38.09 million income and showed shares in nomination papers of Rs 11.5 million.
