Islamabad (June 10, 2017): Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has urged Speaker National Assembly to issue production order for MNA Jamshed Dasti so that he can attend National Assembly’s ongoing budget session.
Shah has written a letter to Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq urging him to issue production order of Jashmed Dasti.
In his letter Shah said that Dasti was an elected member of National Assembly and was arrested when he was going to his constituency from Islamabad.
He wrote in the letter, “As Opposition Leader I request you to issue production order for Dasti so that he can participate in the budget session of house without any hindrance.”
Jamshed Ahmad Dasti, chairman of the Pakistan Awami Raj party, was arrested last Thursday for what police said interfering in official work.
Police said that Dasti along with a number of people, had opened the gate at Kalu headworks channel to release water in Dinga minor (Muzaffargarh canal).
An FIR was registered against Dasti and his aides for force opening of canal gate.
