Islamabad (October 3, 2017): Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been re-elected the president of PMLN through the parliamentary power and thus it should not draw any criticism or outburst from any quarter.
If accountability has to be carried out it should be done in a transparent manner without targeting just Nawaz sharif and his family, he added while addressing the general counsel meeting of the party at Convention Centre here after Nawaz got re-elected as party president.

He advised his brother Nawaz Sharif in an address on Tuesday to consult his party workers over matters instead of ‘those new leaders merely concerned with designation and cars’.
“Call party leaders and workers for consultations and make decisions in light of those meetings,” he said.
Despite immense difficulties, Shahbaz said, Nawaz Sharif fulfilled the promises he made to the people and also managed to abolish the darkness that engulfed the country for 15 years.Lashing out Imran Khan Shahbaz said that he and his brother Nawaz were called ‘dengue brothers’ when the virus arrived in Lahore but now when the same virus has attacked Peshawar Imran has run away to mountains, he added.
Addessing Nawaz Sharif Shahbaz said, “ Allah has given you another chance, call this great convoy and family and make decisions after making consultations with them. If you do that none could cause any harm to you.”
Advising Nawaz to prefer old colleagues for consultations and advice without taking Nawaz name Shahbaz said, “Instead of still-wet-behind-the-ears new advisors who are giving wrong advises for nothing but designations and privileges the you should consult old colleagues sitting here in the front rows and seek their advice.”
Shahbaz Sharif said that Nawaz worked endlessly to banish dark from the country, adding that 800MW of electricity will be added to the national grid over the next 14 months.In the past, money has been embezzled which were meant for the electricity projects, he said.
Today, the PML-N has re-elected former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as the party’s president for a period of four years.
Nawaz has been elected unopposed as no one else contested against him.
On Monday, the PML-N central working committee approved an amendment to the party’s constitution, paving Nawaz’s way to lead the party following his disqualification from the Supreme Court.
