LAHORE: Opposition leader in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif on Friday did not appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the hearing of an ongoing probe of money laundering, asset beyond means and Lahore Solid Waste Management Company cases.
As per details, the former Punjab Chief Minister was summoned by the NAB in an ongoing probe of money laundering, asset beyond means and Lahore Solid Waste Management Company cases, however, he submitted the answers of questionnaire of the anti-graft body and pleaded to pardon him from making an appearance as he has been advised to take bed rest due to intense back pain by his physician.
According to sources within NAB, the anti-graft watchdog had handed him over a questionnaire regarding the assets inherited, bank accounts he and his family members do posses here and abroad and the property which he has gifted to both of his wives.
The sources have informed that the PML-N president appeared before NAB and recorded his statement on July 5. However, he failed to satisfy the officials of anti-graft watchdog.
