Lahore: Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif has filed contempt of court petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for not allowing him to go abroad.
Counsels of Shahbaz Sharif Amjad Pervez and Azam Nazeer Tarrar file the petition. While Dierctor General (DG) FIA Wajid Zia, federal government including others made respondents in the case.
The petition opined that on May 7 the (LHC) issued orders for Shahbaz Sharif to go abroad while the court announced the verdict in the presence of the law officer, the FIA officials. The court orders were dispatched to respective authorities via telephone, e-mail and whatspp whereas the PML-N got the copy of the order received in the FIA.
The petition viewed that despite the court orders Shahbaz Sharif was barred to travel abroad while the court orders were violated in the insulting manners which proved that the political institutions have been used for political engineering.
It was prayed in the petition that the court ordered to implement its judgement of May 7.
