LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has reached Lahore High Court (LHC).

He will appear before the bench hearing his interim bail petition in the assets beyond income case.

A divisional bench of the LHC headed by Justice Tariq Abbassi will hear the bail plea while Justice Farooq Hyder is also part of the bench.

The PML-N leaders’ Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Aurangzaib also have reached the LHC.

On the occasion, Security has been beefed up at the LHC while security barriers have been erected at the Mall road.

As many as 15 reserves contingent of Punjab police has been deployed at the entrance and on the premises of the LHC.

On Monday, Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif had filed a bail plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) to avoid an arrest in assets beyond means and money laundering cases.

Shahbaz Decides To File Protective Bail 

Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has decided to file protective bail in the assets beyond income case in the Lahore High Court.

It is viewed in the protective bail petition that any accused can not be deprived of his legal and constitutional right of getting interim bail.

The petition said that the bail petition has been filed in the LHC and it viewed that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided the house of Shahbaz Sharif despite the bail petition has been set to be heard in the LHC.
