Lahore: An accountability court of Lahore on Tuesday sent Shahbaz Sharif to jail in the money laundering and assets beyond income case on a judicial remand.
The NAB prosecutor asked 14-day physical remand of the PML-N President while the court rejected the NAB insistence.
The prosecutor said that Shahbaz Sharif was not answering any query of the NAB adding that if he was not replying to our queries does it mean that we didn’t investigate the case.?
Shahbaz Sharif said that he has been in the NAB custody for 85 days while the NAB started the investigation back in October 26, 2018 adding that what questionnaire the NAB has given him, they have provided him earlier as well and he answered many of the questions already.
He said that this entire week they interrogated him for only 15 minutes and they didn’t ask nothing new in it adding that whatever he replied has become part of the investigation.
The court has ordered to send Shahbaz Sharif jail on judicial remand.
