Ankara (September 15, 2017): Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached Turkey on a two-day visit.
Upon arrival at the Turkish capital, Shahbaz Sharif was warmly received by Turkish officials at Ankara Airport.
During the visit, the chief minister will meet Turkish leadership and exchange views on different matters of mutual interests.Earlier talking to media at Lahore Airport before departure, Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Turkey had entered in the new phase of relations and both the countries share similar views on global and regional issues.
He said that he would meet Turkish leadership during his visit and discuss various bilateral and regional issues with them.
“My visit to Turkey would further boost bilateral relations between the two countries,” he remarked.Talking about current political situation, CM Punjab said that sustainable democracy was the only solution to move country forward.
He said that democracy was an authentic and independent political, economic, social, and cultural global system of governance for the people.
Shahbaz further said that politics of personal interests, allegations and lies was harmful to democracy.
