LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s counsel have assured an Accountability court of Lahore that the politician will return from United Kingdom to Pakistan on June 11, Abbtakk News reported on Tuesday.
The court held a hearing today on Ramzan Sugar Mills and Ashiana Housing scandal case with PML-N president’s son Hamza Shahbaz in attendance at the courtroom.
At the outset of the hearing, Shahbaz’s lawyer submitted a plea before court seeking his client’s exemption form the hearing which drew NAB prosecutor’s objection as submitted his reply to the plea, pleading to reject the proposed plea.
“All medical tests of Shahbaz Sharif can be carried out in Pakistan. He is intentionally staying in London”, the plea stated.
The court inquired Shahbaz’s lawyer and asked him to provide a final date for politician’s return to the country.
To this, the counsel assured that the opposition leader in NA will arrive in Pakistan on 11 after all of his medical tests are concluded.
It may be pertinent to mention that Shahbaz Sharif had gone to London on April 10 citing medical treatment.
