Shahbaz Terms Shahid Khaqan’s Arrest As NAB, Govt Collusion

LAHORE: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif declaring ex-premier Shahid Khaqan Abbassi arrest as a collusion of the government and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and said that the government will heavily pay the price over the arrest.

Addressing a presser along with other leaders of the Party, Opposition leader in National Assembly and President of his party, Shahbaz Sharif said that the NAB has been used to for the political revenge adding that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrested on his Whatsapp message while his only fault is that he was a loyal accomplice of Nawaz Sharif.

Announcing to go court against the news published by the UK newspaper daily mail said that he was leveled the worst the allegation regarding funding for earthquake affectees and urged the government not to defame the country while he was
defamed on the issue.

Shahbaz Sharif said that traders and farmers are disturbed due to the wrong policies of the government while he said that he will raise voices strongly for the people.

The PML-N President said that Shahid Khaqan Abbassi arrested without any arrest warrant and when the former premier asked for it he was shown the WhatsApp message for the arrest by the DG NAB. When the senior party leader inquired again about the arrest warrant then photocopies of the warrant was shown, Shahbaz added.

He said that Rana Sanaullah was also arrested in the cheap way earlier.

Former chief minister Punjab said that Prime Minister Imran Khan destroyed the economy in his 11-months rule while the government also dumped the power projects initiated by the PML-N government.

If the PML-N government hadn’t established 500 MW plants then they would have been known extreme conditions of the summer season.

Shahbaz Sharif defending the LNG project said that the gas load-shedding in the country is almost zero due to the LNG gas project and its credit goes to Shahid Khaqan Abbassi.
