JAMAICA: Star all-rounder of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi, became most expensive player of the Caribbean Premier League 2015 who was hired on price of $150,000 amongst other Pakistani cricketers including Sohail Tanvir ($80,000) and Shoaib Malik ($100,000).
Several international players were presented in an auction event of Caribbean Premier League 2015 in Jamaica, but Shahid Afridi was bought at highest price of $150,000 and while pacer Sohail Tanvir on ($80,000) for St Kitts & Nevis Team who replaced Antigua Hawksbills this year.
Barbados Tridents retained Shoaib Malik with ($100,000).
Besides Boom Boom Afridi, Pollard, Narine, Gayle, Sammy and Dwayne Bravo were grabbed from ($150,000) bracket.
Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga picked up by Guyana Amazon Warriors in ($100,000) while Tillakaratne Dilshan was grabbed from ($80,000) bracket. Jamaica Tallawahs bought Mahela Jayawardene ($100,000) while Ross Taylor by St Lucia Zouks in ($100,000).
Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was sold at ($50,000) to St Lucia Zouks and Kiwi cricketers including Daniel Vettori and Martin Guptill sold out at ($50,000).
