Sharjeel urges MQM to reconsider strike call

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and Local Bodies Sharjeel Memon said that tomorrow will be a first day of schools opening after a winter vacation .

He assured that the demands of Muttahida Qaumi Movement have been considered so MQM should mull its tomorrow’s call of strike, however, the investigation would be carried out after the report of investigation committee.

While talking to the media outside a CM house Sharjeel Memon stated that the government was in continuous contact all night with MQM leaders.

In a media talk he further says that the investigation would be initiated after the report of investigation committee and that the action would also be taken against the alleged police officer.

‘We think that matters can be resolved by negotiations, MQM demanded the suspension of investigation officer which was accepted by Sindh government’, he added.

The minister said that the 15-minutes deadline given by the MQM chief not appropriate as nothing can be done in such a short time. The chief minister is available for meeting.

Moreover, he wished to eliminate the problems through peaceful talks.

Sharjeel said that terrorism is a nationwide problem. In the city target killing is continue along the workers of MQM , doctors and religious personalities.
