Shawwal moon: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to Meet Today

Islamabad(June 25, 2017) : Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has convened a meeting for Shawwal moon sighting in the federal capital today.   

Earlier the moon sighting meeting was she scheduled in Peshawar.  The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting led by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will announce about the Shawwal moon in the evening.

However, the meetings of Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will be held at their respective headquarters at the same time, Ministry of Religious Affairs said. A control room has also been established for receiving evidence. The main announcement will be made by Chairman of the committee Mufti Muneebur Rehman.

The moon according to Met office will be born at 7:29 pm today and would be seen in clear weather. Met office said that chances high of Eid-ul-Fitr moon being sighted today.

There are visible chances of the Eid moon being sighted on June 25, Sunday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department. Scientifically, the moon will be sighted for the longest duration in Pakistan in Jiwani area of Balochistan today. The moon will be seen in the sky for 75 minutes.
