Shehbaz Blasts Govt For Shrinking Education Funds

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lambasted incumbent federal government for diminishing the funds in federal budget for upcoming fiscal year 2019-20.

He claimed that the reduction of allocation of funds for higher education by more than Rs20 billion will affect in a very negative manner.

Shehbaz criticized PTI-led government for “playing havoc with the future of the country”.

“All scholarships done away with. Universities asked to increase fees. The budget of higher education reduced by over Rs. 20 billion. This is how the guardians of Naya Pakistan are playing havoc with the future of the country”, the PML-N President tweeted.
