ISLAMABAD: Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Friday endorsed federal government’s decision to boycott Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) meeting in Abu Dhabi.
According to details, a joint parliamentary session was held under the presidency of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser amid tensions between Pakistan and India.
Former CM Punjab in his address said, “FM Shah Mehmood briefly explained the government’s stance on the issue and it seems to be reasonable that we should boycott the OIC meeting.”
“The decision represents the sentiments of the nation,” he added.
“Indian government’s claims are baseless, Pakistan never supported any sort of terrorism,” he added.
“India made promises with the world for solving Kashmir issue, which they forgot,” added Shehbaz.
“India should liberate Kashmir,” he further added.
“Its the time we should unite for the sake of Pakistan’s interest,” concluded Shehbaz.
