LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition leader in the National Assembly on Wednesday reached London on a 10-day visit, where he will undergo a medical checkup and see his grandchildren.
Addressing media at Heathrow Airport the PML-N president said that PML-N had served the nation and their hands are clean.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government (PTI) did injustice in providing health facilities to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
In his tweet yesterday, Shehbaz explained that he was unable to leave London earlier because of his name being in the Exit Control List (ECL). He would return to Pakistan soon, he added.
“God has blessed my younger son with a boy and, my elder one with a girl 20 years after his marriage,” he said, adding that his granddaughter had to undergo a major heart surgery a week after her birth but he was unable to be there for her or meet his grandson since his name was in the ECL.
“Now that I have been awarded bail by the court and my name has been removed from the ECL, I’m travelling to see my grandchildren and get my medical check-up done,” the former chief minister of Punjab said.
