Seven terrorists of a banned outfit were killed while three accomplices managed to flee after an encounter with Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sheikupura. According to CTD the terrorists were panning terror attacks in Lahore and Sheikhupura.
According to details on a secret tip when CTD installed a check post near Charchak Risala the terrorists started firing on the security forces as soon as they saw them. Seven terrorists were killed in return fire while three accomplices managed to flee under cover of the night for the arrest has begun a search operation after cordoning off the entire area.
Five kilograms of explosives, three Kalinshinkov rifles, two detonators, four pistols, and three live rounds were recovered from the possession of terrorists.
