KARACHI: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah at Chief Minister’s House.
During which Shah took up the issue of deduction from Sindh’s accountry by Federal Board of Revenue under the head of sales tax. The Finance Minister assured the Sindh Chief Minister to reconcile the deducted amount.
The chief minister and the Finance Minister discussed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The chief minister while taking up the issue of deduction under the heads of sales tax apprised the minister that last year FBR deducted RS4 billion from Sindh’s account under the head of sales tax and this year too Rs4 billion have been deducted under the same head.
The Finance Minister assured the chief minister that the deducted amount would be reconciled.
Later, Dar went to Sindh Governor House and met the son of late Governor Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui. Dar condoled with Siddiqui’s son over his death.
He paid tribute to Justice Siddiqui for his services to the country and judiciary. He added that the services of late Governor for upholding constitution and law would be remembered.
