ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair on Friday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Prime Minister’s House.
This was the first formal meeting between the Governor and the Prime Minister after swearing in of Muhammad Zubair.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asked the Governor to ensure completion of different uplift project by becoming a bridge between the federal and provincial governments.
The prime minister and Governor Sindh discussed different projects being executed in Sindh with the assistance of federal government. On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that law and order situation has been improved greatly due to collective efforts. He said that the Karachi Circular Railway project was included in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while work on Green Line Mass Transit project was underway at fast pace.
The Prime Minister said that the federal government was also extending support for K-IV water supply project and Lyari Expressway. He further said that work on different energy projects including Port Qasim power plant, Engro Thar Power Plant, Jhamper Wind Power Plant was underway in the province.’
On the occasion, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair thanked the Prime Minister for showing confidence in him, saying that he would try his best to serve the people of Sindh.
