Karachi: Provincial Minister for information and transport Sharjeel Memon has apprised that Sindh government has constituted joint survey committees on the union council level to conduct survey of damages in the flood hit areas.
The committee will be comprise on administration, Pakistan Army, representatives of NDMA, PDMA and respective UC’s secretary.
Keeping damage scale owing to devastation caused by the floods more than one committee can be constituted.
For monitoring of the joint survey committees district supervisory under the chair of deputy commissioner has also be been formed.
The supervisory committee comprised of SSP, District Military Liaison Officer, representatives of NDMA, SUPARCO, PDMA.
Assistant Director Local Government is also included in the supervisory committee.

Talking about deaths owing to the floods, the Minister apprised that more 17 people death reported after which the total number of deaths climbed to 724. While 8422 people also sustained injuries due to the floods.
More livestock of 23, 132 were died after which as a whole 3, 130, 509 have lost.
More than 1.061 million houses damaged partially while 7, 20,000 houses destroyed completely. As a whole 7.256 million people were turned homeless.
He apprised that 284625 tents, 247512 plastic mates, 2254495 mosquito nets, 26740 sleeping mates, 746212 litre mineral water bottles, 34034 kitchen sets, 7000 first aid kits, 15430 mosquito nets for livestocks and other things have been provided to the flood victims.
Sharjeel Memon further apprise that besides that 736949 families provided rations bags while the Sindh government aid activities will continue.
He said that PPP’s Sindh government is committed with people we will not sit with peace until rehabilitation of all the victims of the floods.
