KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on Saturday said that it was unfortunate the provincial government was giving nothing to this city.
Talking to media after visiting Saima Trader Tower where a fire has broke out, Akhtar said that despite several letters were written to Chief Minister for procuring fire tenders and other machinery for Fire Brigade Department. He added that contrary to Sindh government announcement nothing was being given to Karachi.
He termed the machinery being used for firefighting as antique. He added that the Fire Brigade department officials even lacked safety helmet.
