Sindh Govt To Start Cleanliness Drive in Karachi From Today

KARACHI: The Sindh government after the duration of 11-year is going to commence cleanliness drive in Karachi from today headed by Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah.

According to details as many as an amount of Rs 50 million has been issued to district management for the campaign while after long years the provincial government led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also decided to initiate dog killing campaign.

Nasir Hussain Shah, the local body minister, talking to media yesterday in Karachi said that the capacity of solid waste management to lift the garbage has been increased adding that 12 to 13 thousands tons of dirt are being lifted on daily basis from the metropolis.

He declared the garbage issue in the city as media hype while he said that on the lifting of garbage it must be made part of the news coverage.
