Sindh govt turned province into ruins: Saad Rafiq

KARACHI:  Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafiq while coming down hard on PPP leadership said that those making long speeches and criticizing others have themselves turned Sindh province into ruins.

Addressing a ceremony to lay foundation stone of construction of flats for Railways employees, Saad Rafiq said that Sindh was presenting a looking of ruins despite the fact that the provincial government had Rs900 billion funds.

He said that the garbage were littered everywhere in the city, gutter were gushing and road were broken. He said that Karachi was facing many problems including transports, water supply, sanitation and others.

He flayed the provincial government for his failure to fix the problems.

Saad Rafiq also criticized former Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, saying that he was not serious in initiating metro bus project and restoration of Karachi Circular Railway. Welcoming MQM-P decision to disown party founder Altaf Hussain, Rafiq said that MQM-P leaders had been conveying their reservations to the London-based leadership, but they did not paid any heed to it which cost them.
