KARACHI: Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry on Tuesday remarked that Sindh and city government have failed to elevate standards of living in Karachi.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard a case at top court’s Karachi Registry pertaining to metropolis’s scenario post rainfall.
‘Karachi drowned in Rain’
“Karachi drowned in rain. Mayor had a raincoat on in order to protect himself from rain. Several people lost their lives due to the downpours but it doesn’t affect any of them”, Justice Gulzar said while hearing the case.
“Even currently, water is still present on streets and roads. I have heard that these rains are going to return after a gap of few days”, he added.
