LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said that people demand strict and across the board accountability and passports of those involved in corruption should be seized and their names be put on Exit Control List (ECL).
Addressing lawyers at Lahore High Court Bar, Siraj said that the tradition calling Zindabad (long live) to thieves should be shunned now.
He said that politicians made assets worth Rs250 billion during last few years. He said that the corrupt people stashed their ill gotten wealth in London, Malaysia and Panama when they did not get safe heaven to hide their wealth in Pakistan.
The JI chief said that the whole nation must join hand to wage Jihad against corruption. He opined that Imran must have consulted all political parties before announcing Nov 2 long march. He said that the country could not progress in presence of political pundits and princes.
