Situation still tense at Pak-Afghan border in Chaman

Chaman (May 06, 2017):  Following the martyrdom of 12 people in a border village in Chaman in firing of Afghan border police, the situation at Pak-Afghan border in Chaman is tense with the border crossing point remained closed for second consecutive day on Saturday.

As per details, situation at border areas of Chaman is tense and the crossing point, Bab-e-Dosti, is closed for the second day. The border village, where 11 civilian were martyred in Afghan border police firing, has plunged into mourning state and schools and other educational institutions have been closed for unidentified period.

On the other hand, sources said that Pak-Afghan border officials would hold formal talks in the wake of the ongoing tension at borders.

On Friday, the Chaman border crossing was closed for an indefinite period after 12 people including 11 civilians were martyred and 46 injured when Afghan border police opened fire on FC Balochistan soldiers guarding a census team in the border village.
