Six Dead, 24 Injured as Van Catches Fire in Multan

Multan (July 02, 2017): At least six people were killed and 24 injured on Sunday, when a passenger van caught fire near Head Muhammadwala, rescue sources informed.

The van caught fire due to a gas cylinder explosion, said rescue sources. The passenger carrying vehicle was coming from Sarwar Chowk towards Multan.

According to rescue sources, the wounded were shifted to Nishtar hospital.Earlier, a fire erupted in a wood warehouse in Multan Sunday afternoon.

Two boilers caught fire at the warehouse where wooden doors are prepared, the police said.

Firefighters were engaged in dousing the fire at the time this report was published.
