LAHORE: Six persons killed in different road accidents across Punjab on Wednesday.
According to details, four persons of a family died when a tractor-trailer hit motorcyclists in Shorkot Tehsil of Jhang while the driver fled after the incident.
In another accident, one person killed and 45 others sustained injuries when a speeding passenger bus collided with a truck.
The rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital for medical assistance where four of them are in critical condition.
The deceased was the driver of the bus, the rescue sources said.
Another accident occurred in Pindi Bhattian tehsil of Hafizabad where one person lost his life and one other injured as a truck hit a motorcycle.
The rescue team shifted the body and injured to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital for medical aid.
The deceased has been identified as Sanwal.
