KARACHI: Cameraman of Samaa TV Taimoor Khan, who was shot to death on Sunday evening by unknown assailants, was laid to rest in Paposhnagar graveyard in Karachi on Monday.
Earlier, the funeral prayer of the slain cameraman was offered at Bilal Masjid located in Orangi Town. Friends, colleagues, relatives and representative of journalists’ bodies attended his funeral.
On Sunday evening, the cameraman was killed when unknown assailants opened fire at the TV channel’s Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van in KDA Chowrangi.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, former President Pervez Musharraf, MNA Danyal Aziz, different religious, political and social personalities strongly condemned the killing of Samma Tv’s
cameraman.

Director General Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor also condemned the killing. In a tweet the DG ISRP said:” Killing of Samma’s assistant cameraman Taimoor Khan is a sad incident. Share the grief of media, Samma and Taimoor’s family.”
