RAWALPINDI: One of five soldiers who sustained injuries after a mob led by PTM leaders attacked Kharqamar checkpost in Boya yesterday has embraced martyrdom, Inter–Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Monday.
According to ISPR, Pakistani soldier Gul Khan got severely wounded in the attack and succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment at a hospital.
Pakistan military’s Media wing said that the martyred hailed from Jamrud and has left behind three sons and a daughter.
On Sunday eve, a mob led by PTM leaders Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar attacked the check post which resulted in injuries to five army personnel.
However, Army in defence responded and at least three protesters were killed and 10 others injured.
Ali Wazir and eight other attackers were arrested whereas, the other PTM leader Mohsin Dawar managed to flee from the scene.
