BELLERIVE OVAL, HOBART: Visitor South Africa delivers humiliating defeat to Australia in second Test as well. The visitors beat Australia by an inning and 80 runs.

Put to bat by South Africa which won the toss Australia was all out for 85 runs that included an unbeaten 48 runs by Khawaja who was the top scorer for the host. The only other Australian to add two-digit score was Mennie- 10 runs. The remaining players added one-digit runs to the score with Voges out for a duck.

For South Africa Philander took 5 wickets. Abbot and Rababa took three wickets and one wicket each.

Australia piled 326 runs in its first inning including 104 runs by Quentin de Kock and 47 runs by Hashim Amla.

Hazekwood removed six South African wickets. Starc took three wickets while debutant Mennie grabbed one wicket.

Australian batting failed once again in the second inning with the host managing to score 161 runs all out.

Abbott grabbed six wickets while Rababa removed the four reaming Australian wickets.

This brought the test to an end on the fourth day with South Africa not have to play the second inning.

South Africa’s Abbot was the Man of the Match.
