TASMANIA: South African captain Faf Du Plessis was accused of tampering with the ball in Hobart Test against Australia.
Australian media accused South African captain Faf Du of ball tampering and released a video. The clip shows Faf Du with a white toffee in his mouth, licking his finger before rubbing the ball with his trouser.
South Africa Cricket Board rebuff the allegations and said that Faf Du was only shining the ball. On the other hand the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to investigate the footage from the second Test.
The footage emerged on Wednesday, a day after South Africa took and unassailable 2-0 lead in the ongoing series with a crashing win over Australia in Hobart.
