South Korea To Boost Trade Ties With Pakistan

Seoul (June 26, 2018): An interactive session and investment conference was held in capital of South Korea, Seoul to attract investors to Pakistan by highlighting the potential of foreign investment in the country.

Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistani ambassador to South Korea remarked while speaking at investment promotion conference that both countries have close ties and it is high time that both countries strengthen bilateral investment and trade.He also said that strong economic and business relationship is a prerequisite for stable, long term and sustainable people to people relations.

The investment promotion conference held in Seoul was titled as ‘Emerging Pakistan: Opportunities for bilateral Investment and Trade’. The conference attracted more than 140 representatives from Korean companies and conglomerates.A special delegation from Pakistan included Dr. Sumera Nazir Siddiqui (Secretary Board of Investment), Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui (Secretary Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms), while senior representatives from Boards of Investment and Trade of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab accompanied by senior business delegates also attended the event.

Sung-Kyu Kwak, South Korean ambassador to Pakistan stressed that the improved security situation and business friendly policies of Pakistan making it an ideal investment destination for the Korean companies.
