ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser contacted leaders of opposition party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday in an effort to make NA environment calm after heated debates delivered by the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers which results into prorogued session without discussion on mini-budget after opposition’s protest.
Sources said that PML-N leaders responded the Speaker NA with demands to take strict actions against some federal ministers if the government wanted to create good environment in the Upper House to run all its proceedings.
N-League leaders said that the PTI ministers must be restricted from resorting to personal attacks on their leadership if they sought to avoid criticism on Prime Minister [Imran Khan]. The opposition leaders warned that personal attacks on their leadership will be responded befittingly.
Qaiser urged that both sides should void delivering statements came under personal attacks against leadership.
Sources privy to PML-N leadership said that Fawad Chaudhry, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Murad Saeed and Shehryar Afridi were blamed for destroying environment of the National Assembly. Speaker NA was also demanded to take strict action against the ministers.
