Speaker should leave his chair if wants to become ‘Jiyala’: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that if Speaker wants to become ‘Jiyala’, then he must come down after leaving his chair, adding that PTI’s movement is same as PPP movement, while damaging democracy is tantamount to damaging Pakistan.

National Assembly session started chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq with a delay of two hours,  during which Speaker invited Shah Mehmood Qureshi to speak first, on which PML-N members started to make noise. Meanwhile, addressing the House, PTI Vice Chairman Shah mehmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister’s speech in Parliament and statement in court were contradictory, adding that PTI is not happy over whatever happened yesterday, as speaker rejected PTI stance without listening to use. He continued that last day he saw his speaker was pressurized, while he couldn’t see a Speaker sitting on chair, but a PML-N ‘jiyala’, which is why he called him Ayaz Sadiq without  using title ‘honorable’.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that governments are demonstrating generosity, adding that people after coming in power forget that they will have to leave the power one day. He said that some people in PML-N were ministers during Musharraf era and today they have become ‘Jiyalas’ in PML-N.

PTI leader said that Federal Minister Railway and PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq had called PTI members gangsters and disgraced elected representatives of eight million people. He said that he will not let speak Saad Rafiq until he sought apology.
