KARACHI: Brave son of the nation who played a vital role in taming terrorist activities in the metropolis and embraced martyrdom is being remembered today on his 5th death anniversary.
Terrorists martyred Chaudhry Aslam in a fatal attack at Esa Nagri Flyover. His family has appealed to file the case in Military court.
Chaudhry Aslam, who got appointed as ASI in Police force belonged to Mansehra. He got fame as an Encounter Specialist after the Karachi operation which was conducted in 1992.
He was the only officer who traced down the main culprit of Liyari gang war Rehman Baloch and killed him in a battle. Chaudhry Aslam also arrested the proclaimed gangster Shoaib Khan in operation.
He, along with his officers were accused of killing Mashooq Brohi in prison in 2007, after the removal of allegations he was appointed in CTD (Counter Terrorism Department) in 2010.
After being appointed in CTD, Chaudhry Aslam killed more than 100 terrorists of militant organizations although, he lead the task force which fought against the Liyari gang war.
Shahid Ullah Shahid and two chief commanders of Tehreek e Taliban were said to be involved in the killing of Chaudhry Aslam. International News Agencies broadcasted the news of their killings but no verification of the story was given.
Chaudhry Aslam’s family has appealed for effectual investigations of murder, and case to be filed in the Military court.
