Web Desk: Star Australian all-rounder Glen Maxwell has been ruled out of last T-20 against Sri Lanka and T-20 series against Pakistan due to mental health issues.
According to details, Glen Maxwell will take a break from cricket to deal with mental health issues. D’Arcy Short will be replacing him in the Australian T-20 squad.
Maxwell is understood to have been dealing with personal matters for the past month. He met with Cricket Australia staff on Wednesday night, and is expected to miss the rest of the T20 internationals against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Maxwell smashed 62 off 28 balls in the opening T20 win over Sri Lanka on Sunday, and was not required to bat in the second match.
Australia will play the last T-20 of the series against Sri Lanka on Friday.
Pakistan and Australia will face each other on fifth and eighth November in a two-match T20 series.
