Stop altering status of Holy City of Al-Quds: UN tells Israel

NEW YORK (May 3, 2017): The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (USESCO) has asked Israel to bring the projects aimed at altering character and status of the Holy City of Al-Quds to an end.

UNESCO’s executive board made the demand in a resolution passed with support from twenty-two countries.

The resolution described Jerusalem as occupied land and declared Israel’s sovereignty over the city as “null and void.”

The United States, Germany, Italy and seven other board members voted against the resolution.
