DUBAI: The executive board of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday approved candidature of Najam Sethi, ex-chairman PCB and a senior journalist, as next president of the cricket governing body.

The ICC board in its meeting in Dubai gave a go-ahead for Sethi’s appointment as ICC president for one year.

Sethi is expected to assume charge in June 2015.
