ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan has constituted a bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa to hear appeals of the death sentence convicts.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk has formed a three-member full bench to hear the appeals of the convicts awarded sentences under the anti-terrorism law.
The bench will hear over 50 appeals of the terrorism convicts in its proceedings from five to nine January.
The bench will also hear the appeals of the government against acquittal of the accused.
A high level judicial meeting headed by Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk in a meeting last week had decided for hearing and deciding the anti-terrorism cases on urgent basis.
