Swearing-in Ceremony of Cabinet Postponed

Islamabad (August 2, 2017): The oath taking ceremony of federal cabinet, which was scheduled to be held in the evening today has been postponed.

Sources said that the ceremony to be held at President House in Islamabad at 6:30 pm was postponed.

Sources told Abb Takk that the issues relating to finalization of names for the cabinet was not resolved as yet, therefore the ceremony was postponed.

A meeting of PML-N leadership presided over by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was held in Murree. The meeting was attended among others by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Khwaja Saad Rafique, Khwaja Muhammad Asif and other leaders.

The meeting discusses overall political situation of the country in the backdrop of Supreme Court verdict on Panamagate case.

The meeting also discussed the new federal cabinet and names to be included in it.

Sources said that issues relating to cabinet remained inconclusive so the oath taking ceremony was postponed and now the cabinet would take oath tomorrow.
