Taliban Killed 8 Afghan Policeman In Two Attacks

Kabul (June 21, 2018): The Taliban killed eight policeman in two separate attacks in Afghanistan on Thursday, said officials.

Arif Noori, a spokesman for the governor of the southern Ghazni province, said that six policeman were killed and four were wounded in an attack on security posts early Thursday. He further said that at least seven insurgents were killed in the hours long gunbattle.

Zabiullah Shuja, a policeman claimed that the two policeman were killed, whereas, three were wounded in the northern Baghlan province by the Taliban. But no one immediately claimed either attack.The Taliban have seized several districts across the country in recent years, and carry out attacks nearly on daily basis, which mainly targets at security forces. They resumed their attacks after a three-day cease-fire on Eid-ul-Fitr holidays last weekend.
