ISLAMABAD: Police will submit its investigation report on Tayyaba torture case to the Supreme Court today.
The investigation report found additional judge’s wife responsible for torture on child-maid Tayyaba and her husband for criminal negligence. How it was possible that the additional session judge remained unaware of torture being meted out to Tayyaba. He knew about the torture all along, it added.
The report said the child-maid was subjected to severe torture over losing the broom. She was beaten and her hand was burnt on the stove. There were 22 torture marks on her body.
Sources said that Tayyaba’s medical report confirm torture marks on her body. The report contradicted judge’s wife testimony that she had not toured the child-maid. The family violated child labour law by recruiting Tayyaba as maid, the report said.
