Temperature Drops as Mountainous Areas Receive Snowfall

Islamabad (January 08, 2019): Mercury dropped to minus as mountainous areas of the country received more snowfall in past few days.

According to MET report, weather is expected to remain cold and dry in the upper areas, whereas, rainfall is expected in lower parts of the country.According to details, extreme weather has increased the potential risk to life as heavy snow and freezing temperatures hit upper areas of the country.

Lowest temperature recorded in Skardu is -15 Degrees however, -12 Degrees in Istoor.

Lowest temperature at Quetta was recorded at -2 Degrees, effecting the weather of Karachi and dropping the mercury to 12 Degrees in the metropolis.

Extreme cold weather has also blanketed different areas of Punjab, according to weather reports.
