Thalassemia Day is being observed all across the world today to help create mass awareness about just how lethal the disease is.
International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is also being observed on the same day, that is May 8. Its objective is to acknowledge the services of volunteers all over the world.
The theme of this year’s Thalassemia Day is ‘Together for Humanity’.
