Thar Coal Power Project Starts Electricity Generation

THARPARKAR: Thar Coal Power Project on Tuesday has started to produce 330 MW electricity which will be inducted into the National grid with immediate effect.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah took to Twitter and informed this great news that the Thar Coal Power Project has started the production of electricity.

He wrote on his timeline; “What a great day for Pakistan! The first 330 MW power plant based on Thar coal synced with National Grid.”

“Grateful to Almighty Allah, and humbled to have been able to play a small part as Sindh is firmly putting Pakistan on the road to energy security,” he added.

Earlier on March 8, Sindh Chief Minister said that the Thar coal power project will be operational by this month.

While talking to a seminar on agricultural production here in NED university the Sindh CM said, “The world is facing challenges like poverty, environmental changes and climatic changes, we are a great nation if we will strive together than no one can stop our progress.”

“The Thar coal power project is expected to start its production by this month. Sindh has resources to end the energy crisis in the country and province in shape of ‘Coal and Renewable’ energy,” he added.

“There is no doubt about that we are surrounded by hybrid warfare, the major problem of us is the delay in taking decisions,” he further added.

“If the government will not take timely decisions, it will increase the problems rather than solving them,” he concluded.
