LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that for the first time, real development process has been initiated in South Punjab and no compromise would be made on the quality of the welfare projects.
The chief minister presided over a meeting through video link to review the progress of development projects underway in South Punjab.
Usman Buzdar reviewed the progress of work in the projects related to education, health and clean drinking water schemes. He also reviewed the progress on ongoing projects including construction of roads, housing, buildings, beautification of city, local government, agriculture, livestock, transport and other sectors.
The meeting reviewed progress on the development projects of Dera Ghazi Khan, while law and order situation was also reviewed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab CM said that third party will monitor all the welfare schemes, adding that quality must be ensured in the development projects.
He said inquiry would be initiated into the complaints of the public.
