Islamabad (October 9, 2017): Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that no one were arresting those who had absconded the courts and had been declared proclaimed offenders, but those who came from abroad for appearing before the court were arrested.
Talking to media after appearing before the accountability court in NAB reference Maryam Nawaz criticized what she said discrimination in accountability process.

She said that those fleeing accountability were not being arrested.
She said that they were not afraid of arrests, saying that proclaimed offender were holding public meetings across the country but no one was bothered to arrest them.When asked about Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, she said that they were non-resident Pakistanis and Pakistan law did not apply to them.
She added that Hassan and Hussain would himself decide whether to join the accountability process or not.
She said that they respected the law. Maryam dubbed the ongoing process as revenge not accountability.Despite having serious reservations, she added, they appeared before the court.
The former Prime Minister’s daughter said that the whole world had come to know whatever was going on was anything not accountability.
Maryam also criticized the SC decision to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, saying that an elected Prime Minister of 200 million people was sent home within minutes.She said that everyone watched the way the NAB cases were instituted and the process was being run.
Maryam said that cases against her were instituted for being the daughter of Nawaz Sharif.
She said that it was good the elected representatives appeared before the courts.
