BHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that a face smacking reply will be given to anyone who dares to challenge country’s sovereignty. The Pak Army is fully ready to defend the country, he added while addressing the concluding ceremony of comprehensive, and integrated joint exercises of the armed forces at Tamewali area here.
Saying that he is pleased to attend the ceremony the prime minister said that the exercises show that Pak Army is ready to take care of any aggression and is capable of giving a tit-for-tat reply to any aggression.
Calling China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project Pakistan’s bright future he said it is project a great example of Pak-China friendship because the new trade route would be complete game changer in the region. He reiterated the resolve that all projects under CPEC will be completed on time.
Talking about the situation in Kashmir the prime minister said that with resolving Kashmir issue peace could not be restored in the region and to achieve this it is imperative for the United Nations to get Kashmir issue resolved as per its resolutions.
Talking about Operation Zarb-e-Azb Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the Operation has no match anywhere in the world in war against terrorism. We have broken the backbone of the terrorists in this war, Operation Zarb-e-Azb is the most effective operation of war against terrorism in the world, he added.
The ceremony was attended by Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, Advisor National Security Nasir Janjua, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Chief of Staff Saudi Arabian armed forces.
