BAHAWALPUR: Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique has said that those responsible for Lodhran train accident would not be spared at any cost, saying that justice will be done with the heirs of the victims.
He was talking to media after inquiring after the health of those injured in the accident.
Earlier he reached Bahawalpur in Business Train to visit the injured at Victoria Hospital.
He said that no one would be protected or sheltered, saying that 48 hours have been given to investigate the accident.
Rafiq assured the relatives of the victims that anyone found responsible for the accident would be punished. He added that police and Railway police were jointly investigating the accident.
He added that they were introducing new system to avoid accidents in future. The minister said that detailed report of the accident would be submitted within a week. He further said that PR would pay the deceased heirs Rs1.5 million each while Rs0.3 will be paid to each injured.
